At the closing and introductory workshop held as part of the project titled "Design and Implementation of a Virtual Reality Environment Blended with Scientific Inquiry into Climate Change," conducted at Kastamonu University, the project outputs were shared with the participants, and the developed virtual reality environment was also demonstrated practically.

The closing and introductory meeting of the project numbered 223K402, titled “Design and Implementation of a Virtual Reality Environment Blended with Scientific Inquiry on Climate Change,” supported under the TÜBİTAK 3501 Career Development Program, was held in a workshop format at Kastamonu University. The event took place in the Erasmus+ Welcome Center located in the Ahmet Yesevi Conference Hall.

The opening speech of the workshop was given by Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kaçar, Dean of the Faculty of Education at Kastamonu University. In his opening remarks, he highlighted the practical contributions of scientific research in the field of education and the role that innovative technologies can play in teaching processes.

Within the scope of the program, project leader Dr. Seçil Tısoğlu Kaya and researcher Dr. Kadir Yücel Kaya provided participants with information about the project process. The presentations focused on the project's development stages, objectives, educational foundations, and how the resulting application environment could be utilized in teaching processes.

In the practical part of the workshop, the virtual reality environment developed within the scope of the project was directly experienced by the participants. In this section, which was carried out through virtual reality glasses, teachers and academics had the opportunity to examine the developed environment firsthand. Participants shared their observations and evaluations regarding the application's interactive structure, visual features, user experience, and potential for use in education.

The event was attended by over 20 science and information technology teachers, as well as academics from Kastamonu University. Throughout the workshop, participants had the opportunity to both learn detailed information about the project outputs and directly experience the developed virtual reality application.

The closing and introductory workshop concluded as an important event in terms of bringing the innovative learning environment developed within the scope of the project to relevant stakeholders, receiving practical feedback, and raising awareness about the use of virtual reality technologies in education.
