Project researchers Elif Sönmez and Sümeyra Zeynep Et participated in the 13th Biltek conference in Paris to present a paper.

The study titled “Experience and Meaning in Climate Change Education: A Phenomenographical Perspective on Immersive Virtual Reality Applications” was presented as a paper at the 13th BİLTEK Conference as an output of the research conducted within the scope of the project. The paper was presented orally by project researchers Elif Sönmez and Sümeyra Zeynep Et .
The presentation examines, within a phenomenographic framework , how immersive virtual reality (IVR) applications contribute to learners' experiences and meaning-making processes in climate change education. The study aims to reveal how students perceive their learning experiences in virtual reality environments and the qualitative differences through which they shape the meanings they attribute to these experiences. In this context, the pedagogical possibilities offered by IVR in teaching a complex and abstract topic like climate change are discussed; and findings obtained through the diversity and depth of learner experiences are shared.
The presentation of this paper is an important dissemination activity, as it increases the project's visibility on national academic platforms and provides an opportunity to discuss the theoretical and practical contributions of virtual reality-based learning environments in the context of climate education.
